Built by Hamilton Marine in Christchurch, New Zealand, the 170 Tour Boat is constructed of marine grade aluminium and is built to withstand the rigours of high-speed jetboating. It has a shallow draft and low deadrise allowing this boat to perform amazing manoeuvres at high speed and in relatively shallow water.

Powered by twin 5.7 litre V8 Chevy engines, pumping out approx. 600 hp, ‘The Beast' can really get up and boogie. Propulsion is by way of two 212 Hamilton jet units, which enables the boat to slide and do the amazing 360° spins, whilst the driver retains ultimate control.

A jetboat also has the added advantage of minimizing damage to the environment. Having no propeller protruding below the boat minimizes harm to marine animals and fishes. The design of the hull minimizes wash therefore reducing damage to the delicate shoreline.
